Founding Principal

A passionate advocate for places that build community and facilitate human flourishing, Justin is is a certified planner and floodplain manager and is an accredited new urbanist. He
holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. 

Prior to founding Common Home Planning & Design, Justin served as Planning Administrator for the City of College Station, TX and Neighborhood Partnering Program Manager for the City of Austin, TX. His career includes a number of professional national and regional awards for sustainability and innovation.

When not working with clients, Justin serves as an Associate Professor of the Practice in the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University where he teaches an urban planning design studio, planning communications, and plan implementation.
